From Dr D Digs Up Ancestors

Well, as we head towards the Mayan end of the calendar and science astronomy saying the world and planets will aling with a black hole deep in space, we have a major upheaval in the world of genetic genealogy too.

To say the least this is an interesting month.

Dr D Digs up Ancestors has written a wonderful blog on the earth shatter change in genetic genealogy.  Here are a few of his observations and a link to his blog so you can read it all.

Seismic Shift in Genetic Genealogy

It seems like the entire landscape of genetic genealogy has shifted in the last week. What magnitude on the Richter Scale were the shakes that led to this amount of widespread and almost simultaneous change? Only time will tell as to which of theses events will have the most lasting impact.

After discussing the changes at major companies like 23andme, Familytreedna, and National Genographic, he goes on to talk about how  these changes will effect the results we have already determined.

Although, it is a blog for the specific surname Dowell, his incite is informative.  Go read his blog, follow him as he tends to give general information too.
